I have been hired to teach a course. I am able to log into mySLU, but I don't have access to Blackboard or Canvas.

Answer

The eMOA form has to be accepted in Workday in order for the process to be completed. Sometimes there are delays in HR, too. ITS is unable to add anyone manually to Blackboard or Canvas.

Note: It can be frustrating because individuals would like to have early access to their courses. Faculty should reach out to their departments and/or HR to monitor the process.
