How to Send an Email to Everyone in a Course

There are two methods for emailing students. One method uses Listservs and the other is through Canvas.

Using Course Listservs

Emailing from Canvas Inbox

You can also send a course wide email using Canvas once a course has been published. 

  1. Go to Canvas and select Inbox from the left side menu
  2. Select the button at the top with the pencil on it called Compose a new message
  3. Select the course, and who to send it to in the top two boxes
  4. Fill in the Subject and the message and click Send at the bottom
