Exporting a Blackboard course for Canvas:

1. Navigate to the Blackboard course you want to export.
2. Go to Control Panel/Packages and Utilities.
3. Choose Packages and Utilities /Export/Archive Course.
4. Click Export Package at top of that page.
5. You will be taken to a page that allows you to select the course items that you wish to include in the Export Package.
   • Keep the default selections under File Attachments.
   • Under Select Course Materials, click the Select All button.
   • Click Submit.
6. You will see a message that says Action has been queued and you will receive an email when the export package is complete
7. Return to the Export/Archive page and you will see a link to a Zip file.
8. Download the Zip file to your computer by clicking on the name of the export package.
   IMPORTANT: do not open or unzip the archive - just save it to your computer.
9. Once complete, you may use THESE INSTRUCTIONS to import this Zip file into Canvas.
