Projector Is On, but Nothing Is On The Screen

What do I do when I've turned on the system and the projector appears to have power, but nothing appears on the screen?

Answer

  • Verify that the GREEN light is on when looking at the projector.
  • Verify that your input source is selected correctly at the Crestron touch panel. To be sure, select a different source and then re-select the one you wish to use.
    • Pay attention to the screen when selecting the different source and re-selecting the one you wish to use.
    • If the other source displays something and the one you wish to use doesn't, we know that the issue is not the projector.
  • If you're using a device like the document camera, check and make sure that it is powered on.
  • Tap the "Room Control" button at the top of the touch panel and see if the video projector is muted. If it is, unmute it to display your video.
  • If you are using a video projector that is not installed as part of the classroom system, verify that the cables are properly connected between the device and the projector.
