How to Delete a Panopto Recording

To delete a video from Panopto, follow the steps below.

  1. Log into auth.slu.edu and click the Panopto tile.
  2. Navigate to video that you want to delete.
  3. Mouse over the video and a check box will appear in the upper left corner of the video thumbnail.
  4. Click the check box and then click the three dot icon that appears at the right of the thumbnail.
  5. From the drop down menu, click the trash icon. The video will be moved to a Recycle Bin and permanently deleted after 90 days.
  6. To delete multiple videos, check the box in any video thumbnail. A row of icons appears at the top of the page.
    The far left check box is used used to select all videos.
    The far left icon is a check box that selects all videos. The trash can icon is the fifth icon from the left and is used to delete the selected video or all videos if the select all check box is selected.
  7. Click the trash icon to remove multiple videos.
  8. The videos will be moved to the Recycle Bin and deleted permanently after 90 days.
