Summary

Body

Question?

How do I get a cable to connect my laptop to the classroom media system?

Answer

In most cases, there is a cubby on the top of the classroom credenza that has VGA, HDMI, Display Port, Ethernet, and other cords and cables. Some classrooms even include additional adapters. If you require an adapter, cable, extension, etc. beyond what is provided, you will need to secure the proper items through your department. ITS does not supply cables or adapters.

If you are using a portable projector that is not integrated into the classroom's system, then you will need your own cables and adapters to connect your laptop or other device to it. If you arrange for such a projector through the Academic Tech Commons, be sure to work with their staff to ensure that you have the cables you need to connect to your device(s).
