How do I withdraw from a course online after the add/drop period has ended?

Instructions on withdrawing from a class after add/drop period has ended.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to withdraw from a course on courses@slu.edu.  After the add/drop period has ended, student are only able to withdrawn from courses via Banner Self Service - Student.  If you do not have holds, the step to do so are as follows:

1.  Open Banner Self Service - Student

2. Click the "Registration" link on your landing page.

3. Click "Register for Classes"

4. Select the Term from which you wish to withdraw from a class.

5. In the summary section of the Registration screen, click the "Action" column drop-down next to the course from which you would like to withdraw:

6. Select "Withdrawn (Web)"

7. Click Submit.

 

If you have registration holds of any kind, you will not be able to withdraw from courses yourself.  You will need to submit a the Petition to Drop or Withdraw from Course(s) with Registration Hold (Form No. 8) available on the Registrar's Office webpage here:  https://www.slu.edu/registrar/register/forms.php
