The Academic Technology Commons (ATC) on the first floor of Pius Library in designed to engage SLU and the community in cutting-edge technological advancements and promoting innovation. ATC resources include:

AskSLU Desk:

Students, faculty, and staff can work with University Library and ITS staff to figure out what technology and tools will help them reach their goals. There are no lines at this help desk. Simply walk up to one of the knowledgeable staff members to quickly find answers. (Note, COVID-19 social distancing restrictions apply.)

Library patrons have access to computer workstations with a variety of productivity, video editing, and creation software along with charging and quick print stations.

Collaboration Studios:

Collaboration Studios allow groups to brainstorm and create in an adaptable work environment, complete with writable walls and mobile whiteboards. Displays in the space allow presenters to show off their work via wireless presentation.

The study areas in the Collaboration Studio are reservable on D!bs and feature:

Idea Labs:

These spaces were designed from the ground up to provide a flexible and creative environment for brainstorming and collaboration. Lightweight and movable furniture allows groups of any size to better come together. The space’s floor-to-ceiling whiteboards and embedded touch displays offer space to get their ideas down.

Idea Labs are reservable on D!bs and come with:

Innovation Studio:

Bring your concepts to life using 3D printers and scanners, laser cutters and hologram projections in the Innovation Studio. Our technology is constantly being updated. Below is a list of what the ATC Innovation Studio has available to you.
