How To Install a new PaperCut Printer or Print Queue on a Mac
The following steps will guide the reader through installing a new PaperCut printer or Print Queue to a Mac device.
Resolution
- First, be sure to connect to the SLU domain or connect to the Global Protect VPN connection.
- Click Command + K on the keyboard.
- Type smb://fvwpcutp01 into the 'Connect to Server' window.
- Click the Connect button in the lower right corner of the pop-up window.
- Sign-In as a Registered User with SLU Credentials.
- Select or Highlight PCClient from the Volume menu, then click Ok.
- Locate and open the PCClient folder in the Finder Window.
- Double-click the mac folder to open.
- Locate and double-click to run the client-local-install file.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions and then run through all steps of the Installer.
- Once complete, a login window will appear. Login using your SLU Credentials to confirm your identity.
- Next, open System Preferences on the Mac device.
- Navigate to Printers and Scanners.
- Click on the + icon in the lower left corner to add to your list of available printers.
- A list of potential printers from PaperCut will appear.
- Find and Select the desired Printer or Print Queue from the list.
- Click Add in the lower right corner to begin installation.
- Repeat steps 14-17 for any additional printers or print queues that need to be added.
