If You Know Your Current Password (Windows):

NOTE: Before beginning this process, be sure to log out of any devices that are currently using your university password. This includes phone or tablet using SLU Wi-Fi connections, phone or tablet connections to Outlook, and any SLU accounts your computer may be using.

  1. Open a web browser and go to auth.slu.edu.
  2. Log in using your SLU Net ID and password.
  3. Choose your form of authentication and verify your identity.
  4. Click on your name in the upper-right corner.
  5. Choose Settings.
  6. In the Security Methods section, click the Reset button to the right of Password.
  7. The system will ask you, Are you sure you want to reset Password enrollment?
    Click the green Yes button.
  8. You will see a screen with the SLU logo prompting you to Reset your password.
    Click on the Select button to the right of the word Password.
  9. Enter your current password and click the Verify button below.
  10. You will be prompted to verify your identity with one of the multi-factor options.
  11. Follow the respective instructions for the multi-factor authentication you use.
  12. You will now be provided a screen with the Password Requirements and two fields below. Enter your new password in the first field and re-enter your new password in the second to confirm. Then click the Reset Password button below.
  13. You will return to the Account Settings page from which you initiated your Password Reset.
    A pop-up window in the lower right corner will appear stating, You have successfully reset your password.
     

If You Know Your Current Password (Mac):

NOTE: Before beginning this process, be sure to log out of any devices that are currently using your university password. This includes phone or tablet using SLU Wi-Fi connections, phone or tablet connections to Outlook, and any SLU accounts your computer may be using.

  1. Click on the JAMF Connect menu bar icon in the top right (it looks like two chain links interlocked) and click on Change Password.
  2. The Login Screen will appear. Enter your Username and Password and click the blue Sign in button.
  3. Verify your identity with your preferred multi-factor authentication type.
  4. After signing in successfully, you will see a SLU Password change page. Click on the Reset button to the right of Password under Security Methods.
  5. Click the green Yes button to confirm that you want to reset Password enrollment.
  6. Complete your multi-factor authentication.
  7. Type in your old Password and click the blue Verify button.
  8. Enter your new Password and re-enter it below to confirm the password. Click the checkbox that says Sign me out of all other devices and click the blue Reset Password button.
  9. You’re done! Now you should be signed out and asked to Sign in again with your newly reset Password.
     

If You've Forgotten Your Current Password:

NOTE: Before beginning this process, be sure to log out of any devices that are currently using your university password. This includes phone or tablet using SLU Wi-Fi connections, phone or tablet connections to Outlook, and any SLU accounts your computer may be using.

  1. Open a web browser and go to auth.slu.edu.
  2. Click Forgot password? under the Sign In button.
  3. You will see a Reset your password screen. Enter your SLU email address or Username and click the Next button.
  4. You will be asked to verify your identity with one of your registered forms of multi-factor authentication.
  5. Follow the respective instructions for the multi-factor authentication you use.
  6. You will then be prompted to answer your security question. Enter your answer and click the Verify button.
  7. You will now be provided a screen with the Password Requirements and two fields below. Enter your new password in the first field and re-enter your new password in the second to confirm. Then click the Reset Password button below.
  8. You will know that your password has been reset when the mySLU applications page appears.
