Follow these steps to enable the Respondus LockDown Browser (RLB) for a test in Canvas

  1. Enter your Canvas course
  2. Click LockDown Browser from the left side navigation in your course
  3. You will see the LockDown Browser resources page.
  4. On this page you can view tutorials, get information on New Quizzes or Classic Quizzes and more.
  5. When you're ready to proceed to the LockDown Browser, click the brown 'Continue to LockDown Browser' button
  6. On this page you will see a list of your tests.
  7. To the left of every test name is a gray box with a downward chevron. To designate a test for LockDown Browser, click that box and then click Settings.
  8. This is where you can set the exam to require the LockDown Browser.
  9. In this area you can click Advanced Settings for more options.
  10. If you require Respondus Monitor, the web cam proctoring feature that works with RLB, this is where you would require that.
  11. When you are finished, click Save + Close.
