Power BI: Training Resources and Getting Started

Overview

Power BI is a Microsoft reporting and analytics tool available to all SLU employees. It is web-based — you access reports through your browser using your SLU credentials. No software installation is required to view reports.

This article provides training resources to help you get started, whether you're a first-time user or looking to build your own reports.

Accessing Power BI

  1. Open your web browser and go to auth.slu.edu (the SLU Okta portal)
  2. Sign in with your SLU credentials
  3. Locate and click the Microsoft Office 365 Power BI tile
  4. Your reports and dashboards will appear in your Power BI workspace
