Resolution

Follow the steps below to initialize a standard classroom Crestron system.

  1. Tap the Crestron touch screen if it's in sleep mode (unlit black panel).
  2. This should make the SLU Logo screen appear, at which point, tap the screen again to start the A/V system.
  3. Wait approximately 30 seconds for the system to completely power up.
  4. Select the desired source from the menu.
    1. Room PC - Select the installed classroom computer
    2. Blu-ray Player - Select to use the device to play Blu-ray discs or DVDs.
The controls for the player will appear on the touch screen.
    3. Document Camera (Select Rooms) - Some rooms are equipped with document cameras. Select this to enlarge transparencies, documents, or objects. If no image appears when selected, confirm that the camera is powered on.
    4. HDMI - Select to display an external device with an HDMI port. HDMI transmits video and audio. This cable can be found in the cable cubby on the top of the podium.
    5. VGA (w/Audio) - Select to display an external device with a VGA and 3.5mm audio port (aka mini stereo headphone jack). Both cables must be connected to share video and audio.
    6. Display Port - Select to display an external device with a Display Port. Like HDMI, Display Port transmits both video and audio.
  5. Return to the source page by tapping home.
  6. When done with the room, tap the red "Shut Down" button in the upper right corner and confirm.

Tips & Tricks

  • The system will automatically turn OFF after two (2) hours. This timer will reset if there is motion in the room or if any button on the touch panel is pressed.
  • Please wait five (5) minutes between turning the system ON and OFF. This allows for proper cool-down and warm-up procedures.
  • You can change the program and microphone volumes on the side of the touch screen.
  • An Ethernet cable is included in the cubby for internet access to external devices.
  • The cables in the cubby are for input only. Please don’t connect them to the monitor.
  • Please turn off the system when done!
