When you need help with technology, ITS is here to provide answers to your questions. There are many channels through which to reach us, but the most common is calling our Service Desk. See the details below for further information.
AskSLU Service Desk:
Reaching the Service Desk is as simple as calling.
Phone Number: 314-977-4000.
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Central Time
If you would rather chat than speak on the phone:
- Point your web browser to ask.slu.edu.
- Click on the AskSLU Billiken in the lower right corner.
After Hours Urgent Support is available for emergencies only by calling 314-977-4000 and pressing option 1.
You will receive a call back within 15 minutes.

If your need is not urgent, but you want to get your ticket in the system, feel free to email ask@slu.edu.
We will begin working on your need the next business day and will contact you within 24 hours after that.
Service Requests:
If what you need is a standard request, we may already have a form in the system for you to fill out.
This is particularly useful because we identify exactly what information is needed to save time.
These are located at the AskSLU Portal and several common options are listed on the left under IT Services.
Otherwise, you can use the search option at the top and enter a few relevant key words.
Knowledge Base Articles:
We have hundreds of articles posted at the AskSLU Portal that provide detailed answers, information, and step-by-step instructions for certain processes and procedures. If you feel inclined to see if you can solve your own issue, you can use the same search option at the top of the page that you would use for Service Requests.
There are several commonly used articles listed on the left under the heading Knowledge Base Articles.
