VPN Access for Technical Users

Saint Louis University’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) creates a “tunnel” between your computer and the campus network that encrypts your transmissions to SLU. Use of the VPN also identifies you as a member of the Saint Louis University community when you are not connected directly to the campus network, allowing you access to restricted networked resources. VPN is available for those needing to access certain University resources (servers, devices, network appliances, etc.) which are typically limited to on-campus users and would otherwise be unavailable from off campus.

Without an approved VPN Access Request, one will receive limited access that may not include network access retricted resources and ports.

To receive access to restricted resources, one must submit a VPN Access Request via ask.slu.edu at this link. Service - Remote Access VPN (Global P... (slu.edu)
