Introduction

The below steps outline how to create a case study assignment in Beacon as a faculty member.

How To

1. Create a Canvas Assignment
   1. Submission Type should be “Online” and select “File Uploads”
   2. (Optional) Add a rubric within the assignment.
2. Login to https://beacon.slu.edu
   1. (Optional)  go to MySLU and search for Beacon
3. In Beacon, go to MyTeaching
4. Select Case builder from the dropdown
5. Upload a Case study and give it a name
6. Link the Canvas Assignment in Beacon
   1. Go to My Teaching > Courses
   2. Click your Course and find your Assignment
   3. Click the Link icon
   4. Choose drop-down on Assignment Type and select Case study
      1. (Optional) Select Timed Assignment to choose a time limit.
7. Select Submit
